ASSISTANT TEACHER – PRIMARY SCHOOL
Full-time | Madu Waldorf | Bali, Indonesia
Founded and based in Ubud, Bali, Madu Waldorf brings together local wisdom and the principles of Anthroposophy. We follow Waldorf education and work as a community to nurture children in caring for the Earth and the world we live in.
We are inviting applications for the position of Assistant Teacher (Primary School). We are looking for a caring, creative, and committed individual who is passionate about working with children and aligned with Waldorf values and holistic education.
The Assistant Teacher works closely with the Lead Teacher to create a nurturing, rhythm-based learning environment that honours each child’s developmental stage. The role involves supporting the daily classroom rhythm, assisting with learning activities, caring for the classroom environment, and contributing positively to the wider school community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Support classroom activities under the guidance of the Lead Teacher
- Help maintain a calm, nurturing, respectful, and well-prepared learning space
- Observe and support children’s academic, social, and emotional development
- Support classroom routines, transitions, and daily rhythms
- Prepare learning materials and support classroom organization
- Work collaboratively with teachers and staff

WE’RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO:
- Are an Indonesian citizen.
- Strong interest in Waldorf education and child development
- Ability to work collaboratively and take guidance from Lead Teachers
- Willingness to learn, reflect, and grow within Waldorf pedagogy
- Relevant education or training background is preferred
- Ability to operate basic office applications and Canva
- Patient, warm, and responsible attitude
- Experience working with children is an advantage
- Fluency in English is essential
