Looking for Assistant Accountant

What are we looking for?

• Preferably female
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or related field
• Freshers can apply, if have knowledge in working in Freight forwarding industry then will be a benefit
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and organise effectively.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft office (outlook)
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to details and accuracy
• Reporting to the head accountant and Australian office.
• Can work according to Australian time (6:00am to 2:00pm / 7:00am to 3:00 pm)
• Ability to work under pressure and in real time
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and good liaising with company external business partners
• Good communication skills in English (writing and speaking) is a must
• Experience in international forwarder/logistic industry is preferable.
• Working days and national holidays following according to Australia (national holidays), no Indonesian holidays.

Role and responsibility

• Tax invoice preparation.
• Accounts Payables and receivables, Payments receipts.
• Credit control, send outstandings to clients on weekly basis, Credit application approvals and entering into system
• Payments to shipping lines and transport company
• Reconciliation on daily basis
• Business Activity statement, Banking, Taxation
• Follow up with overseas agents and overseas payments, Outstanding to clients on weekly basis.
• Coordinating with Documentation team and Customer service with regards to account approvals
• Debt collection process and liaising
• overseas payment statements and reconciliation
• Bookkeeping, Expense approvals, Cargo wise reports
• Reporting locally and to Australian office

WE ARE HIRING

Looking for Support Sales Person

You’ll support our sales and operations team from quote to confirmed booking. You’ll work with our origin agents, consignees, suppliers, shipping lines and transport providers to keep every shipment moving smoothly.

Key responsibilities:

Quotations and pricing

• Prepare accurate freight quotes (FCL, LCL and air) for customers.
• Get container rates from shipping lines and co-loaders, and compare them for the best option.
• Get destination transport rates from transporters and include them in quotes.
• Keep rate sheets up to date and follow up on quotes that are about to expire.

Bookings

• Check the Incoterm (EXW, FOB, CFR, CIF, DAP, etc.) on every booking so the responsibilities and costs are clear.
• Tell the consignee about any origin charges before the booking goes ahead.
• Make initial bookings with shipping lines and origin agents, and send booking confirmations to all parties.
• Coordinate pre-shipment requirements: cargo-ready dates, documents, fumigation, phytosanitary and other certificates, VGM, and cut-off times.

Communication and coordination

• Be the main contact between origin agents, suppliers and consignees.
• Send customers regular updates on shipment status, schedule changes and delays.
• Follow up with suppliers on cargo readiness and commercial documents (invoice, packing list, certificate of origin).
• Arrange delivery with destination transporters once cargo arrives.

Administration and sales support

• Keep booking and shipment records accurate in our systems.
• Check draft bills of lading and shipping documents for accuracy before they are finalised.
• Help with job costing, and check that quoted charges match supplier invoices.
• Help find new business, follow up on leads, and keep customer relationships strong.
• Report on quotes, bookings and conversion rates.
• Escalate problems (rollovers, missed cut-offs, document errors) quickly and help resolve them.

What we’re looking for

• Experience in freight forwarding, shipping or logistics, ideally in sales support
• Good knowledge of the local Indonesian freight forwarding industry.
• A solid understanding of Incoterms, container types and the basic export and import process.
• Fluent English, written and spoken. You’ll deal with Australian and international clients every day.
• Well organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to handle several shipments at once.
• Able to work on your own with minimal supervision.
• Confident with email, Excel and online booking platforms. Experience with freight software is a plus.
• A reliable internet connection and a suitable home workspace.
